Most people do not realize how destructive cigarette smoking really is. Some believe that smoking only damages the lungs — as if that isn't bad enough. They have no idea how destructive smoking can be to the cardiovascular system. Many smokers also seem willing to “take chances” that their organs will not be damaged. This assumption is far from reality. With habitual smoking, the lungs and cardiovascular system will be damaged.
